Even as Jay Z’s lucrative $150-million contract with Live Nation, the leading entertainment touring company, nears its end, the Roc Nation family is a jubilated lot. Live Nation had signed a contract with Roc Nation that would see it provide the company Roc Nation recording and touring needs profiting both from the revenues. The contact signed in 2008 by Jay-Z ends in 2008. Though the contract has “buy-sell” trigger, Jay Z is already sounding the alarm for other bigwigs in the entertainment industry.

According to sources, Jay-Z and ROC Nation are not interested in furthering the deal anymore with Live Nation. Arguably, this is after the company went off the buying recorded Music clause and this would mean that the other Roc Nation artists such as Rihanna, Shakira, Fat Joe and Meek Mill are disadvantaged.
